This four-week ceramic intensive is an invitation to slow down and develop a deeper relationship with clay.

Held over four sessions in my Boulder, Colorado studio, this series offers dedicated time to learn foundational hand-building techniques while moving beyond the basics—allowing space for exploration, refinement, and personal expression to emerge over time.

Together, we’ll work through pinch, slab, and coil building, returning to each process with greater intention as your confidence grows. Rather than creating a single piece, you’ll build a small body of work—objects that reflect your own rhythm, curiosity, and evolving practice.

In the final session, we’ll focus on surface and finishing, learning the fundamentals of glazing and how to complete your pieces in a way that feels considered and cohesive.

This is not a fast-paced class, but a steady, immersive experience—one that allows you to reconnect with your hands and develop a more intuitive relationship with making.

Throughout the intensive, you will:

• Learn and refine foundational hand-building techniques
• Create multiple ceramic pieces, both functional and sculptural
• Explore form, proportion, and surface over time
• Gain an introduction to glazing and finishing your work

All materials, tools, glazing, and firings are included.

Duration: 4 sessions, 2 hours each
Experience level: Beginner-friendly, with space to grow
Location: Boulder, Colorado
Instructor: Anna Flowers

This offering is well suited for those seeking a more intentional, ongoing experience with clay—whether you are just beginning or looking to return to a creative practice with more depth.
