This private ceramic workshop is an invitation to slow down and create an altar as a personal object of meaning, intention, and presence. Held one-on-one in my Boulder, Colorado studio, the session offers dedicated time and guidance to shape a ceramic altar entirely by hand.
Using traditional hand-building and coil techniques, you’ll be guided through the process from initial form to thoughtful detail. Together, we’ll focus on proportion, structure, and symbolic elements—allowing the piece to emerge in a way that reflects your own rhythm and intention.
During the workshop, you will:
Design and hand-build a one-of-a-kind ceramic altar
Learn foundational hand-building techniques using professional materials and tools
Incorporate personal symbols or details meaningful to your practice
Prepare the piece for firing in the kiln
All materials, tools, glazing, and firing are included. After the workshop, I will complete the glazing and firing process, and you’ll be notified when your altar is ready for pickup, typically within four weeks.
